From its foundation in 1980 the S&D Group has seen dramatic growth both organically and through acquisition. It now has a turnover in excess of US $125 million the Group employs about 250 people in offices throughout the World.

S&D Chemicals Limited - suppliers of pharmaceutically active materials, dyestuffs, intermediates and cosmetic raw materials. Operating on a worldwide basis S&D Chemicals have offices staffed by nationals in:

Biochem Marketing Limited - S&D Chemicals formed a 50:50 joint venture with Biotika of Slovakia for the worldwide marketing of Biotika's bulk antibiotics.

S&D Chemical Processing Limited - This company specialises in the production of pharmaceutical, fine chemical and agrochemical products for worldwide sale.

Twinstar Chemicals Limited - Founded in 1973 to act as an agent and distributor of metal based chemicals, from Aluminium to Zinc, for use in industry and agriculture. The scope of the distribution has been expanded to include cellulosic rheology modifiers, nitrobenzene, aniline, sulphanilic acid and specialised inorganic pigments.

Food Ingredient Technology Limited - an established distributor and manufacturer of a wide range of ingredients for the food processing industry. The company specialises in supplying functional food ingredients and offers full technical support to its customers, including formulation and product development and problem solving.

Chesham Speciality Ingredients Limited - Founded in 1980 to specialise in the supply of raw materials to the UK Cosmetic and Toiletry Industry, since then the Company has become one of the leading suppliers in this field.

We represent material producers from around the World and offer technical and commercial support to our customers, with a team of qualified cosmetic chemists with wide industry experience.

Chesham cosmetic business has expanded to cover the UK, Irish, German and Central European markets and we have Chesham companies in Poland and Germany.

We also have two specialised divisions, Chesham Botanicals and Formulation Chemicals.
